Description
Make plans to attend this year’s 40th Annual Halloween Haunts & Happenings event throughout Downtown Jonesborough. Join us on Friday, October 25 from 6-9 p.m. with games, activities, contests and of course trick-or-treating.
Bring your furry friend down for the Spooky Pooch Palooza starting at 6 p.m. in front of the Courthouse with a costume contest, treats and more for your four-legged companions. Lots of fun activities and games for all ages will also be ongoing including barnyard train rides, pumpkin tic-tac-toe, scary-oke, a haunted house and more.
The popular Costume Contest will return at 7:30 p.m. in front of the Courthouse and is sponsored by Food City. The contest will have several age groups and a group category as well. Starting at 8:30, we will offer something fun for children 10 and up with the Flashlight Haunted Egg Hunt in Jimmy Neil Smith Park behind the Storytelling Center.
This year, parking will also be available at the Jonesborough Elementary School with a shuttle to the Jonesborough Visitors Center. Parking is $5 per car with free shuttle rides available to and from all evening. It is highly recommended that you utilize this option as parking will be very limited in the downtown area.
