Mother's Day 2017 #GiveBakery Style

Is Dad a Macaroni Kid Tri-Cities Subscriber?

By Amanda Hollifield, Publisher Mom, tricities.macaronikid.com April 26, 2017

I know what you are thinking? Why am I publishing my first Mother's Day article almost three weeks out? If you family is anything like mine, we are knee deep in soccer and baseball games, end-of-the-year school events, and church functions. Mother's Day will be here before dads know it. Which reminds me....is your husband a Macaroni Kid subscriber? No, then he needs to definitely sign up TODAY, so he can receive my special articles leading up to Mother's Day to give our dads some extra help in making mom's day extra special.

We have mentioned Give Bakery Because before in Macaroni Kid and if you haven't tried one of their ideas; what better time than Mother's Day! Some of us lead crazy, busy lives and we don't have time to bake the gazillion beautiful, delish Pinterest recipes for Mother's Day.  I also love the concept of combining the theme of Buy It, Wrap It, Gift It with Give Bakery with the concept of having the kiddos creating something special for mom.  Below are my Top 5 suggestions, but the amazing thing with Give Bakery Because is you can be as creative as you want!  Don't know which one to do? Why not splurge and make mom a "sweet" basket full of #givebakery gifts!

1. Mother's Day Cupcake Flower Toppers

2. Sweet Sugar Cookies Packaging

3. Cupcake Flower Bouquet- Check out our very own MK Jamie Clark making this beautiful bouquet. Get the kids involved by decorating a terra cotta planter that mom can reuse!

4. Or a Sugar Cookie Bouquet in a Homemade Coffee Cup- I love this presentation of the cookies, but would probably be easier couples with a handmade coffee/tea cup.

5. Conversation Photo Card- With the limitless opportunities withCanva.com, dad can easily upload up to four great photos of him and the kiddos and add conversation bubbles. This can be an add-on to any of the above gift ideas.

6. I know I said five, but I couldn't pass up the Donut gift idea (probably because of the adorable FREE printable! You can have the kiddos decorate a mason jar or clear drink cup and "wrap" the donuts by stacking them in the jar or glass.
