Five (or Eight) Things to do with Leftover Cookies

By Heather Wirtz September 21, 2016
I saw this in the September Macaroni Kid Eats National Edition and loved it! May try some of these this weekend.

I bought and/or prepared too much _________, now what?
The age old question in many homes. Each month we will provide ideas on how to use up extra fruits, vegetables, and leftover food!
Five (or eight) things to do with leftover cookies:
Crush them and use as a pie crust.
Put a scoop of ice cream between two cookies and wrap tightly - freeze and you will have homemade ice cream sandwiches on hand!
Toss them in while making a milkshake.
Make a cookie trifle.
Garnish glass rims with crushed cookie crumbs - chocolate martinis, chocolate milk or even hot chocolate all work well with this idea!
Make cake (cookie) pops!
Cookie Butter = cookies blended with butter!
Used crushed cookies as a topping or mix-in for ice cream.
We usually have five ideas, this was fun and we ended up with more!
Suggestions welcome, please share them below!
